The future is being laid before our eyes. I hope people are paying attention to all of the crypto infrastructure moves happening.

1. Is anyone really surprised at who the FBI says is behind the $41M hack of Stake? I, for one, am not. The Lazarus Group has had their hand in just about every major hack that's happened for years. My question is when are we going to truly fight back? Let's not pretend they are not backed by the North Korean government. I wonder what our response would be if the hacks happened to major financial institutions. Even if we are doing things behind the scenes we need to start making some noise for all to see. Not all of the moves, but some. Enough to make a point.

2. Did the US FDIC Chair just issue a warning about a possible banking crisis? Well, Martin Gruenberg, Chairman of the FDIC, says the industry is still exposed to downside risks from, here's that ugly word again, inflation and high interest rates. Something to consider is when the banking industry has issues, people do run to things like Bitcoin. I think we may have to really walk through the impending macro events that could sway the global economy in either direction.

3. I hate to say this about a project I really like, but Cardano needs to do a hell of a lot more marketing work. I know it is not the style of lead developer Charles Hoskinson, but this great project gets no traction on its own as their thunder is stolen by silence. They just announced Warp Transactions. The new feature almost eliminates sender fees, in a way. The transaction must be signed off by both the sender and the receiver and the feature is only available to users of the Typhon Wallet. Really convenient.

4. I don't know if you have noticed, but JPMorgan has been deeply involved in crypto for some time. Have you noticed Jamie Dimon has not been front and center so much talking nonsense about crypto? Well, in another move in the space, the banking giant is considering its own deposit token for cross-border transactions. This is interesting since there are already solutions on the market that can easily handle the job. Yes, I am looking at XRP. I think the plan for JPM is to keep as much technology in-house as they can even while dealing with other companies in DeFi and other activities.

5. I told you how Coinbase is headed toward becoming the BlackRock of crypto. Well, they've partnered with Circle and Aave to create what is being called a Tokenized Asset Coalition. That's a mouthful. You may be wondering why they are making such a move. It should be obvious, but some are not putting all of the moves together. There is going to be an explosion of tokenized assets and that is going to usher in the next trillion dollar move. There are already trillions lying in wait for spot ETFs. There are also major efforts underway to tokenize assets with participation expected by the likes of BlackRock, Fidelity and others. Pay attention to this space.

6. Remember when I told you about how Ripple could be timing an IPO following a positive outcome from the SEC case? Well, I think the rumors are more than that. You now have the Ripple CTO hinting at exactly that! He is even hinting there is a possibility if an SEC settlement. I told you about that a couple of weeks ago with those closed-door meetings at the SEC. Things are getting interesting, indeed! I am expecting some big news to come from the upcoming big shindig happening in NYC.

7. Something else that has caught my attention is a follow-on from yesterday's news about the latest lawsuit against Digital Currency Group. It is being reported that the FBI interviewed Cameron Winklevoss. He was also interviewed by the SEC and New York City prosecutors over the past few months. I am thinking this could be another huge scandal to hit the Cryptoverse!
