Information from blockchain sleuth Whale Alert indicates that almost $90 million worth of XRP has been transferred from Bithumb exchange to an anonymous wallet. The crypto community speculates that this significant transaction may indicate a large purchase.

In a separate move, Ripple has partnered with Chipper Cash to introduce XRP-powered payments in Africa. This collaboration aims to facilitate fast and affordable cross-border transactions, marking a significant advancement in Ripple's presence in the region.

According to Whale Alert, the transfer from Bithumb to the anonymous wallet involved 40,000,000 XRP, equivalent to $83,570,812. The crypto community has reacted enthusiastically to this transaction, with speculation arising that it could be a substantial purchase, indicating a whale stocking up on XRP.

Furthermore, Ripple's partnership with Chipper Cash is set to enable five million users to access fast and affordable payments on RippleNet using XRP. This move is expected to revolutionize cross-border payments in Africa, providing users with 24/7/365 access to efficient transactions, unlike conventional payment providers that rely on slow and expensive prepaid transactions.

These developments come at a time when XRP is trading at $2.10331, showing a 3% increase today but experiencing a notable decline of 14.72% since last week, Wednesday.

This collaboration signifies a new milestone for Ripple's expansion in Africa, positioning the company to further enhance cross-border payment infrastructure in the region.
