• Inflation is hotter than most expected; I am expecting a 50 BP move with the coming FOMC meeting• Solana takes a network hit and recovers using a fork• Adidas' idea of a token-gated sneaker drop is proof adoption is going to continue growingA lot has gone on in the past week and it is showing me that the coming week looks to be favorable. here is what is on my mind this week.1. PCE numbers came in heavy and hot. Believe me, that was not a good thing. I keep telling people that macro events can throw the markets off kilter. I am expecting at least 50 basis point move by the fed in the next meeting. Bitcoin dropped below my $23,417 number to as low as $22,861. 2. Imagine having to have a token or NFT to take part in a new gated sneaker drop. Instead of waiting on line at a store, you would have to acquire a token in to be able to get in on the new drop. This is something Adidas is scoping out right now. Wouldn't that lead to an almost instant community? Well, that is what Web3 lead Erika Wykes-Sneyd is thinking. It is also what I have been thinking for some time. 3. So Solana went down again and assets were frozen until the problem was corrected. The solution wound up being a fork, but it was solved and it is now business as usual. My question is will this be acceptable for anything mission-critical?
