There is a lot going on, including June new home sales numbers coming out later this morning. Here is what is on my mind today.

1. As you know, my company, Rebel Visions Corporation, is a Principal Member of the Metaverse Standards Forum. So, Invesco, a major money manager, creating a multi-million dollar Metaverse Fund is a really cool thing to me. The fund will focus on large, mid-cap and small-cap companies across the United States, Asia and Europe. What stands out to me is that the fund is considered to be a performance fund. That signifies expected growth in the space and that is a big message to send. It should also be noted that both the fund manager and deputy fund manager both come from the UK-based Asia & Emerging Markets equities team.

2. Miley Cyrus has taken steps toward creating projects in the Metaverse. There is a lot to be said about protecting your brand. There is even more to be said about future-proofing your brand. This means that brands need start thinking beyond the normal uses of their likenesses, names, logos, etc., and not just in the normal world or on websites. The next frontier is, indeed, the Metaverse. If you need some help, reach out to the Rebel Visions team. We can help.

3. Back in early February I told you about how Nike was taking StockX to court over the use of the use of the Nike brand in the Metaverse. Well, not you can see why with Nike announcing they made over $185M from NFT sales. Like I said, there are more reasons that one to protect your brand in the Metaverse.

4. Did you know there is a class action lawsuit against Mark Cuban over his alleged promotion of Voyager Digital? The news dropped on August 13th and it wasn't lost on Peter Schiff who dropped a tweet saying Mark Cuban knew Voyager was a scam because Mr. Cuban was an early Bitcoin Critic. It is going to be interesting to watching this play out.

5. June new home sales numbers will be released later this morning. I believe at about 10 AM. No matter what you may be thinking this is going to be a market mover.

6. I have posted a lot about bridges being hacked. I am happy that today I get to let you know about a bridge that actually thwarted a hack and even got to stick it to the hacker. Rainbow Bridge, a connection between NEAR protocol and Ethereum, was able to stop another hack with the hacker losing 5 ETH in their safe deposit. This is not the first time they have been able to beat back a hack, but this one caught my attention. Hat tip to that team!
