Breaking: SEC Chairman, Gary Gensler says Bitcoin is a commodity.

1. SEC Chairman, Gary Gensler, finally gets it right calling Bitcoin a commodity. No matter what you may be thinking that is HUGE and will have profound effects on the crypto market. When you think about it this could foretell good news for those ETF rulings expected within the next 2 weeks. I am wondering how this will affect the case the SEC is bringing against Ripple. I read earlier that Ripple's defendants filed an opposition to proposed redactions from the SEC. I think the proposal is just another play at delaying the process.

2. Three Arrows Capital has been served a default notice by Voyager Digital. This is another macro event that is going to stagger the DeFi lending part of the cryptosphere.

3. On another note, rumor has hit the wire that Alex Mashinsky, CEO of Celsius Network, was trying to skip town. I haven't been able to find any specifics around the rumor just yet. There is information saying it wasn't him, but members of his family. In any event, I expect Goldman Sachs to win out in snatching the assets when all is said and done.

4. Russia defaults and the world is not playing games with them. This is an indirect impact on markets, but does mean something, especially when you consider the G7 is, basically, creating $600B fund comprised of public and private sector money to respond to China's massive global expansion.
