• Decentraland in in the movies thanks to Ridley Scott and "The Infinite Machine"
• Terra confirms the airdrop did not go as well as it should have and a fix is needed
• Goldman Sachs is in talks with FTX to bring leveraged derivatives trading to the platform
• Morgan Stanley is saying investments in crypto may be cut in half that in 2022 compared to the $30 record set in 2021
• The $15B OneCoin fiasco is a shining example of why you need to do your own research

You know me. I am looking for moves that will move the future! Here is what is on my mind today.

1. So, Ridley Scott is going to have Decentraland in his movie, "The Infinite Machine". That is great for the largest metaverse in the crypto space. I have to admit I am interested in how this movie will fare compared to "Ready Player One". That said, I am also interested to see if the movie can propel Decentraland into the mainstream. I think if that were to happen, you could see the metaverse darling crush its all-time high sooner rather than later.

2. Terra confirms the airdrop did not go as well as it should have with some users receiving less than others. I have zero confidence in this project and its ability to recover under the current leadership. Now they are working on solving this self-made problem. Sloppy. Then you have the report about Do Kwon being caught moving $4.8M through a shell company, Kernel Labs. I think the case against him is mounting.

3. Goldman Sachs is in talks with FTX to bring leveraged derivatives trading to the platform. I look at this move and think this may be a good thing for the bank and the exchange and they deepen their centralized offerings. I also wonder if it can be sustained in as more people want to get deeper into decentralization. I am also keying in on the word "leveraged". Leveraging has proven to be a good way for small people to lose their shirts and for big pockets to get bigger.

4. 2021 was a coming-of-age year for the crypto industry with investments hitting a record $30B. It is no surprise to me that Morgan Stanley is saying there could be half that in 2022. I mean the first half of the year has seen cryptos shed an average three quarters of value after hitting all-time highs last year.

5. I constantly tell people to do their own research. The OneCoin rug pull is a clear example of why I say so. The frontwoman, if you will, Dr. Ruja Ignatova, was about to be indicted when she disappeared. Her brother, who had taken the helm when she went missing, was indicted and arrested by the US. $15B is gone. All based on a proven multi-level marketing scam. When you do your research, make sure you do not get caught in an echo chamber.
