There is so much going on. Have you been researching the Cryptoverse? There are a lot of big movers. Here is what is on my mind today.

1. GDP comes out today at about 8:30. I am expecting huge impacts from those numbers.

2. Argentina has been having a really hard time with their economy and currency. With inflation at record rates, the country seems to be leaning toward dumping the peso for the US dollar. This is even after BRICS invited the country to join their bloc. Considering BRICS does not have an immediate answer for Argentina's economic problems, you realize BRICS is more a political bloc than an economic play.

3. Polygon Labs launches POL on the Ethereum mainnet. The new smart contract is what they are saying is the next generation of zero knowledge-based Layer 2 chains, allowing holders to validate multiple chains. I am expecting this ecosystem to surpass even what MATIC can currently handle. I am going to do some research and see where I can get my hands on some.

4. Just when you see so much news around Ripple and XRP you get to hear about some more. Apparently, Colombia's Central Bank is looking to leverage Ripple for Cross-border payments. This is not just a toe being dipped. Apparently, Banco de la República has entered into a strategic partnership with Ripple. There is a lot of news swirling around Ripple and the realistic use cases for fast and secure cross-border payments. I am expecting more countries to follow suit. That said, I am also keeping an eye on competition coming from Chainlink and SWIFT. Not to mention that it was just announced that JPMorgan's JPM Coin has seen over $1B in cross-border settlements.

5. The Reserve Bank of India is getting serious about the development of their digital currency. In the news now I am hearing that Inda has launched a wholesale CBDC pilot. Depending on how this goes, this could impact on how entities can access short-term interest-earning loans. This would allow banks and other institutions to borrow and lend money to each other. I am interested in learning more about the details of how this would work. More importantly, I am interested in learning how this affects BRICS.

6. With continued pressure from the New York Attorney General's office, Genesis is working hard to handle bankruptcy payouts sooner rather than later. If you recall, I told you about that case being brough against Genesis, Digital Currency Group and Gemini for what the NYAG is alleging is a $1B fraud scheme.
