Mercedes-Benz unveiled an updated MBUX Virtual Assistant at the 2024 CES, featuring an NFT gallery and an AI voice assistant with "emotional profiles." The virtual assistant, powered by generative AI and the next-generation Mercedez-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), can interact with the driver using one of four "emotional profiles" and will launch in early 2025. In addition, Mercedes-Benz is introducing an in-car music experience, MBUX Sound Drive, and a new MBUX Collectibles in-car app that enables drivers to showcase their NFT collection on the vehicle's dashboard, including the brand's own NXT NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Moreover, the company is using blockchain technology to track CO2 emissions in its cobalt supply chain in collaboration with traceability start-up Circulor.
