Security experts are cautioning millions of Apple users about a new scam involving fake iCloud text messages containing malicious links designed to steal sensitive personal and banking information. When unsuspecting users click on the links, they are taken to a phony iCloud login page, allowing scammers to gain access to private data, including credit and debit card information and website login credentials. Trend Micro has reported blocking over 5,000 phishing attempts in the last week. Users are advised not to click on the links to avoid having their login credentials stolen, which could lead to blocked accounts, unauthorized purchases, and compromised private data.
