MixMob, a Solana-based gaming brand, has announced that it will incorporate the iconic Stormtrooper character from "Star Wars: A New Hope" into its Racer 1 game as an NFT collectible. The licensing deal for the character is with Shepperton Design Studios and original "Star Wars" prop maker Andrew Ainsworth, not Disney or Lucasfilm. Additionally, MixMob's Solana-based governance token, MXM, has seen a significant increase in value.
MixMob announced Thursday that it will add the Stormtrooper character from “Star Wars: A New Hope” as an NFT collectible and playable character for its Racer 1 game. However, the deal was not brokered with Disney or Lucasfilm, but with Shepperton Design Studios and original “Star Wars” prop maker Andrew Ainsworth. The licensing agreement is limited to the armor design from “A New Hope,” marking a key milestone in MixMob’s journey to #FlipWeb2.
