Phantom, a non-custodial crypto wallet with seven million monthly active users, has refuted rumors of a token airdrop linked to its new social discovery feature. The wallet aims to enhance social interaction by allowing users to customize profiles and connect with friends, but it has clarified that this update will not involve the issuance of its own token.
Furthermore, Phantom has revealed its integration with the Sui Network, expanding its blockchain support to six platforms, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and Base.
The denial of token airdrop rumors comes amidst speculation that users would receive tokens for following other accounts on the platform. Phantom emphasized its focus on social discovery and assured users that it has no plans to launch a token, stating, "We’re incredibly excited about social discovery on Phantom and are actively working on ways to make it something everyone loves."
