Crypto.com has considerably broadened its footprint in the United Arab Emirates by forging key partnerships in aviation, real estate, and public sector services. Over the past three months, the crypto exchange has teamed up with notable institutions such as Emirates Airlines, the Dubai Land Department, and the Dubai Department of Finance. These collaborations place Crypto.com at the forefront of the UAE’s digital transformation journey.

One of the headline partnerships involves Emirates Airlines, which, together with Crypto.com and Dubai Duty Free, signed a memorandum of understanding to explore cryptocurrency payment solutions for travelers. This initiative, announced by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, aims to integrate crypto payments throughout the travel experience, from booking flights to airport shopping. This aligns seamlessly with Dubai’s D33 Agenda to foster innovation and reinforce the city’s status as a smart economy hub.

Dubai Duty Free emphasized the benefits of this initiative, highlighting enhancements in convenience, security, and innovation for travelers. The ability to use leading digital currencies during airport transactions is set to make journeys more seamless and modernized.

In addition to aviation, Crypto.com has joined hands with the Dubai Land Department to develop a blockchain-based infrastructure for virtual real estate investments. This initiative supports Dubai’s Real Estate Strategy 2033 by enabling tokenization of properties, verifying investors, and facilitating crypto-based transactions. Crypto.com brings technological expertise and advisory services while the Land Department manages compliance and pilot projects.

Furthermore, the Dubai Department of Finance formalized a partnership with Crypto.com aimed at modernizing public sector payment systems. Established during the Dubai FinTech Summit, this collaboration allows residents to pay government fees with cryptocurrencies, advancing the city’s broader Cashless Strategy. This effort promotes the use of stablecoins and digital assets to digitize financial transactions in government services.

Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com, expressed pride in supporting Dubai’s Department of Finance. He highlighted that this initiative represents the first comprehensive government-wide implementation of digitized payments, showcasing Crypto.com’s pivotal role in Dubai’s digital finance evolution.
